Who we are

F1Alerts is a visa slot monitoring service for F-1 visa applicants in India. We operate the website at f1alerts.com and the associated monitoring service. References to "we", "us", or "F1Alerts" in this policy refer to the operator of this service.

Information we collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the monitoring and alert service:

• Account information: Your email address, full name, and phone number (E.164 format) provided during sign-up.
• CheckVisaSlots access code: Your personal API access code from CheckVisaSlots, used solely to fetch slot availability on your behalf.
• Alert preferences: Your selected visa locations, timing windows, and alert type preferences (email/call).
• Payment information: Payment is processed by Cashfree Payments. We do not receive or store your card number or banking details — only a confirmation of successful payment and the duration it covers.
• Usage data: Basic server logs (timestamps, HTTP status codes) for debugging. No browsing behaviour is tracked.

How we use your information

• To send you email and/or phone call alerts when F-1 visa slots open at your selected locations.
• To manage your subscription and verify payment status.
• To notify you when your CheckVisaSlots sessions need to be refilled.
• To respond to support requests you send us.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-party services

To provide the service, we use the following third parties, each with their own privacy policy:

• Supabase — database and authentication hosting (supabase.com)
• Cashfree Payments — payment processing (cashfree.com)
• Twilio — phone call alerts (twilio.com)
• CheckVisaSlots — visa slot data source (checkvisaslots.com)
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) — server infrastructure

Your access code is transmitted to the CheckVisaSlots API on your behalf. Your phone number is transmitted to Twilio only when a call alert is triggered.

Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, email support@f1alerts.com and we will process the request within 7 business days.

Payment records may be retained for up to 7 years as required under Indian law.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie (access_token) to keep you logged in. This cookie is HTTP-only and is not accessible by JavaScript. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal information we hold about you. To exercise these rights, email support@f1alerts.com. We will respond within 7 business days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
